DownloadFreeDemoNOW!The aim of the Laidler Associates Risk Management Software System is to provide a PC based system that can manage all hazards and risks that occur in the working environment.
Being checklist based, any policy, procedure, regulation, standard or company standard that can be put into a yes/no/ not applicable checklist format can be incorporated into the system providing a complete health and safety package.
Where an answer is negative, a risk assessment can be generated to provide a solution to the problem. When all the relevant sections of the checklist have been completed, a report can be printed that ties the two elements (checklist and risk assessment) together.

The most popular package consists of a checklist for PUWER 98 (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 98) and CE Marking. The PUWER 98 module allows the user to work through PUWER in its entirety, carrying out risk assessment where necessary.

CE Marking
The five main steps to CE Marking are:
Risk Assessment, Essential Health and Safety requirements (EHSRs), Technnical File, Declaration of Conformity and Affix CE Marking.

Using the CE module to its fullest extent will allow the user to create the elements needed for a Technical File and print out a template Declaration of Conformity (or Incorporation as required). The EHSRs are included as a checklist alongside further checklists for Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic hazards, which are necessary elements of the CE Marking process.

The CE Module also includes text files to document where other necessary information (such as drawings, diagrams and manuals) are held. These documents can be linked to direct if they occur on the users PC system or network. The checklist method also allows the Risk Management Software System to be easily expanded, updated and amended.

Health and Safety is an ever expanding area, hence modules will be created or amended in line with changes in legislation. Keeping files electronically in this manner allows the user to update assessments swiftly if machinery and equipment is altered, amended or added to. Files can be readily exported into Microsoft Excelª where graphs, costings or other additional fields can be generated.

A company with their own in-house policies or who have very specific needs can have modules created or tailored to their exact requirements. These can also be updated or amended as and when is necessary. Company logos can also be incorporated into the reporting struture.

Modular Options
One of the main benefits of the Laidler Risk Management Software System is the ease in which modules can either be added or updated. Companies with internal policies can have their own modules created quickly and easily, whilst a wide choice of regular modules are currently being planned.

Future modules will include: BS EN 14122 Parts 1, 2 and 3. This is a generic standard covering safe means of access to machinery. Each part covers different access methods such as stairs, walkways and ladders.

Mobile Work Equipment
This module covers the specific requirements for Mobile Work Equipment from Part 3 of PUWER.
